Craig A. Russey


Craig is a highly effective business leader and comes to MORFAR with deep experience and success in private and public-sector executive management and ownership roles. He has a proven record of performance in entrepreneurial and institutional environments, including start-ups, turn-arounds and consolidations with both mature and high-growth companies. Mr. Russey authored the “Accelerator Stage” management process that is the conceptual basis for MORFAR’s unique investment and management approach.

Prior to MORFAR, Mr. Russey served as the Executive Vice President of Sapoznik Insurance and helped to marshal its growth into one of the most well-known, respected and largest privately owned health insurance benefits agencies in the country.  Prior to that he was the President and General Manager of Atrium Companies-Florida, Inc., and the President of Robico, Inc., a light manufacturing and service/installation business within the specialty products category of the residential construction industry.  He successfully packaged and sold Robico to Atrium after a national marketing-to-transaction effort.  Just prior, Craig was the Managing Director of Morgenthau Holdings, L.L.C., a private-equity investment firm and formerly the President and CEO of ViaSource Communications, Inc. a NASDAQ traded firm that was a national telecommunications service provider employing over 3,700 individuals in 185 different offices around the U.S. He was the President and COO of Smartlink Development Corporation a high-growth technology firm servicing the rapid response and industrial mobile radio markets in the U.S. and emerging country market in South America and the Pacific Rim.  As Eastern States Regional Director for the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation, one of the nation’s largest developers of enclosed shopping malls, he was responsible for all operating activity for 13 super-regional enclosed shopping malls from South Florida to upstate New York. In addition, in 1984 he founded the Impact Management Group, Inc., a diverse real estate leasing, management and investment company that he successfully sold in 1993 after the Company reached over 12 million square feet of commercial real estate under management.

Mr. Russey is known for his business development expertise and deep transaction and financing knowledge including nearly 40 buy and sell-side transactions.  At MORFAR, he is primarily responsible for business development activities and developing transaction strategies with prospective client companies.
